Re: “Ghost Story

I love this place! I'm so happy it made it into your magazine. I'm from Washington DC and I went to Utah for business trip. I love the molcajete and I can't wait to visit again in November!! Best Mexican food hands down!

Re: “Pizza Pursuit

Ted, how about your next pizza article is about locale? Getting pizza is a distinctly local experience--the best is hot, good, and somewhere in your neighborhood. Pizza is a spontaneous indulgence, which is all about how close you can find it. What is the best in Salt Lake City, Sugarhouse, Ogden, Sandy, Park City, etc? Thanks! Curtis

Re: “Burrito Madness

This seems really half assed. Only 3 spots? Is this part 1 of an ongoing burrito series? I only comment because I'm passionate about burritos and genuinely want to know where to find SLC's most honest burrito.

Re: “Riverhorse Rising

Thanks for the kind words and recognition of the hard working staff at Riverhorse and Provisions. We listen to our customers and try very hard to meet their expectations. There is an old Chinese Proverb that says "Man without smile should not open shop". That exemplifies our ideology as we hire friendly people that are obsessed with getting things right. Re: “The Best Local Food & Drink of 2014

Thank you to Ted and CW for supporting locally owned restaurants! Lots of great places, but a couple of my favorites include Nuch's and Sole Mio for Italian and/or pizza, Maxwells for NY Pizza, Red Maple for Chinese and Dim Sum, Chabaar for Thai (best Thai breakfast ever), Kimi's Chop and Oyster House for seafood, Teru for sushi, and Lucky 13 for burgers. Happy New Year! Mike F

Re: “Taking a Stand on Stanza

Approachable and affordable with ingredients I can recognize. This is what I've been wanting to hear. Thanks Ted

Re: “Modern French Cuisine

Gee, thanks KB for setting me straight, and for your world-wise wisdom on how to find a good meal in France. I could have never done so on my own. I can only hope someday to reach your level of culinary insight and expertise. Until then, I'll just keep sending readers to "California Yuppie Food" emporiums. So creative, that phrase!!!

Re: “Log Haven at 20

Lets not for get about the cook of Log Haven also. That kitchen has one of the lowest turn overs of any kitchen I've ever worked in. One cook has been there for 5+ years! Not to down play Dave or disrespect him in anyway but what is a general if he has no soldiers to lead? Congrats though to Log Haven, my old friends and family, here's to another 20. Cheers!

Re: “Utah Pizza Picks

Thanks for mentioning Gabor Bros. I still miss Restaurante Capri - 3300 S 900 E - a pizza that grows better and better as I get older, fatter, and somewhat senile...

Re: “Ghost Story

We have been there a few times with the family (including kids) as well as to celebrate two birthdays with friends. The food is delicious and the portions very generous. The molcajete is to die for as are toritos, the nachos and I could go on all day. The margaritas are a staple and compliment almost everything they have.
The cost of drinks isn't crazy like other restaurants downtown and that's always a plus.
One thing I want to highlight is the service. A place with good food and bad service will lose me as a customer every time. Chile Tepin puts as much care into their customers as they do their food. I love this place and I can't wait to go back!

Re: “That's a Wrap

Ohhh. GR Kitchen was not on my radar. I see falafel and kale salad in my near future!

Re: “Not-So-New Yorker

Seig and Williams originally opened this as a gay disco. With the money they raised with admissions they were able to open the restaurant.

Re: “Burrito Madness

Personally, and I'm not preaching, rice does not belong in a burrito. Just sayin'.

Re: “Bohemian Rhapsody

Stop telling people what a great place this is.
It's tough enough to get a seat now, much less if others start invading my favorite brewpub.
