The work of Veera Kasicharernuat, a native of Thailand, is currently on display at Tanner Frames. Kasicharernaut has lived in Salt Lake City since 1977. The collection consists of five paintings, along with six color and three black-and-white lithographs.

Located within the housing/production community Art Space City Center, Tanner Frames is in its fourth year of operation. Not a storefront owner, Travis Tanner deals directly with the artists and collectors with whom he has developed a broad network. The studio is not showy, but has a busy industrial feel. Tanner believes in providing excellent product as well as a consistently solid art exhibit each month.

Kasicharernuat’s art can be best approached by considering the pervasive influence of ancient Thai philosopher Lao-Tzu on the artist and his work. In the paintings of nature, one finds calm and balance; in the color prints, geometric unity and harmony; and in the black-and-white prints, minimalist reduction and simplicity. Kasicharernuat hopes his work will have a visceral effect and invite meditative contemplation.
