A perfect match doesn’t come around that often, but that’s the only way to describe the combination of Repertory Dance Theatre’s Ring Around the Rose series and the Virginia Tanner Creative Dance Program. RDT’s Ring Around the Rose is designed specifically as a “wigglefriendly” performance series, geared toward families, that explores that wondrous world of the performing arts by featuring and partnering with local companies such as Utah Opera and Symphony, which often design kid-friendly fare for the performances.
Tanner Dance, meanwhile, was created by one of Utah’s true art pioneers, Virginia Tanner, and was designed to foster creativity in children through movement by incorporating a holistic approach. Thus, it achieves the
aforementioned perfect fit. Because this performance features the young
students from the dance program, the fun show is geared for the whole
family.
