New Music Tuesday!!!

It's been a while since we've heard from Stellarstarr*, the indie art rockers who bounced on the scene in 2003 with tasty hits like "My Coco." I still love that song. The NYC group returns to today with Civilized, an album that has vocalist/guitarist Shawn Christensen moving out of his low-register comfort zone and singing in a higher pitch. Take a listen to the difference six years can make, first with a song off their self-titled debut followed by a new track.

Also out today, American Central Dust, the new full-length by alt-country greats Son Volt who will be playing Snowbird's Mountain Music Festival this weekend. Check tomorrow's City Weekly for an interview with band founder Jay Farrar.
