Winter Market Returns
The indoor Winter Market at Rio Grande—a project of Urban Food Connections of Utah—has returned for the 2015-16 season. With more than 60 local vendors—including producers of meats and cheeses, baked goods, jams, salsas and more—the market is held on alternating Saturdays, from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. at the Rio Grande Depot (300 S. Rio Grande St.) through April 2016. The first market of the season was on Nov. 7; the next will be held on Nov. 21, themed "Winter Needs." So, in partnership with the Road Home, volunteers will be on hand to accept donations of hats, gloves, towels, new pillows and blankets to support the most urgent needs of shelters and Salt Lake City's homeless. Spirits & Brews @ Silver Fork
On Thursday, Nov. 19, beginning at 6:30 p.m., Silver Fork Lodge (11332 E. Big Cottonwood Canyon Road, Brighton, SilverForkLodge.com) will host a five-course dinner paired with beers from Park City Brewery and spirits crafted by Sugar House Distillery. The cost is $50 per person plus tax and gratuity, or $25 for dinner without the optional beer and spirits pairings.
