Vinto | SLC-Downtown | Italian | Restaurants
David Harries—who created Trio, Fresco, Riverhorse, Park Cafe and other fine eateries—now brings us Vinto, a casual but modern bistro featuring wood-fired pizzas, flatbread sandwiches called piadina, salads, soups, antipasti and dolce. Definitely give the housemade meatballs with grilled bread and pomodoro sauce a try. The thin-crust pizzas from the wood-fired pizza oven are very popular, as are the piadina—the grilled vegetable version is a knockout. Vinto also offers daily soup, salad, pizza and pasta specials, as well as a range of desserts (the housemade gelato is sensational). Wines are priced at $6 per glass or $26/$28 per bottle, keeping things simple. By the way, the decor at Vinto is also a knockout. Located in downtown Salt Lake City.
