Celebrate the age-old tradition of street painting at Utah Foster Care’s Chalk Art Festival at The Gateway. The featured artist for this year’s Chalk Art Festival is World-renowned artist Julie Kirk Purcell. Purcell brings her brand of dynamic 3D street painting to the annual event in downtown Salt Lake City. Purcell has made her mark in festivals across the globe and last year, spearheaded a team creating the Guinness World Record for largest 3-D Pavement Art.

UFC’s 13th Annual Chalk Art Festival benefits the 2,700 Utah children in foster care and the dedicated families who nurture them.

Nearly 140 local artists take part every year, with competition in both youth and adult categories. Gateway’s new entertainment center GameWorks will be treating Foster Dads of the Year to lunch, as UFC honors them for their unselfish service to children.
