The Way It Is

City Weekly asked Jeremy Goldsmith, of Johnny’s on Second, what question he’d like to ask visiting President Bush:

Why do I feel so worried about raising my daughter in the greatest country in the world? You’re causing all these people to hate us and she’s not going to understand that. How do I explain that to her? I feel so uneasy and so worried. Will you explain to me, why do I feel that way? I worry about it every day when I watch the world news, and I see other people’s kids being killed in Israel, being killed between Israelis and the Palestinians. This is the land of milk and honey. Why do I feel so uneasy raising my daughter? And does it have anything to do with your presidency?
