The Way It Is

Kat Altnan recently moved his Kat’s Kustoms T-shirt business to Salt Lake City where he’s hawking a line of anti-George W. Bush shirts. He’s more concerned about the odd outraged resident than the idea government spies could be watching him.

I’ve been here in Salt Lake for three weeks. For the most part I’ve got a good reception. The third day after I got my [city street vendor] permit, I had a guy in a car pull a gun and point it at me, but that just made me want to go back to that same corner and sell T-shirts. I mean, it’s scary for that part of it, but as far as the FBI taking names and addresses and pictures, I’m sure they already have mine.
