New York Subs (14 W. Broadway) owner Chris Petrogeorge gives his two cents on the debate over illegal immigration:



I’m for closing our borders. I don’t believe there should be amnesty. They’re here illegally, and I think they should be treated as such. I’m not saying they’re bad people in any way, shape or form. I do believe there should be some kind of work program for them. But I don’t believe they’re just stealing jobs other people won’t do. I’ve done many, many jobs that they’re doing, and there’s nothing wrong with people I see walking the streets that they can’t be doing a lot of those type of jobs. You know. They’re jobs. It’s work.
