City Weekly asked John Zaccheo'aka Mr. Z. of Mr. Z’s Cucina Italiana restaurant'for his thoughts on Sandy winning the fight for a new soccer stadium:
nnEveryone goes where the activity goes. Eventually, if the activity is going to go to the suburbs, that’s where the restaurants will go. … [Salt Lake City business owners] don’t mind costs, if there is an attractive way to draw the suburbs to the city. We need to look for something that’s going to [give] downtown an identity, not only with the tourists, but with the locals. They work downtown, but they don’t spend downtown. If the suburbs are developing and they become viable, why can’t we do the same thing for the downtown?
