With all the recent recalls of Chinese toys with lead paint, City Weekly asked Tavernacle social club manager Susy Hadley if she thought people would be buying fewer toys this holiday season.
I don’t think they’ll be buying fewer toys; they’ll just be cautious in the toys that they do buy. People will always buy toys for their kids. They’ve been making toys the same forever and ever and ever. So, I wonder why is this an issue all of a sudden? I know they’re looking out for the safety of our children; I think it just might be a little overkill.
