With the Sundance Film Festival upon us (Jan. 17-27), Salt Lake City and Park City will be invaded by hordes of out-of-towners. City Weekly asked Ericka Whorton of The Hair Station (1597 S. 1100 East) if she welcomes these visitors or if they would’ve been better off staying home and subscribing to the Sundance Channel?

I think they’re always welcome. Now is a great time for Utah to have diverse people come in and check out everything about Utah. Any kind of tourism helps Utah and, for future trips, they might think, “Maybe I’ll come back in the summer” and bring tourism back to Utah during other times of the year.
