The Royal in Salt Lake City is a shiny, black & chrome monument to rock & roll excess in an otherwise sedate suburban setting. Hometown heroes (and partial club owners) Royal Bliss are tearing through new tunes and old favorites for a shoulder-to-bare-sweaty-shoulder bar crowd who’ve obviously come to par-tay. And not 10 feet away from the two frenzied levels inside there’s a calming patio overlooking Big Cottonwood Creek—these guys do everything to extremes.
