What was your first impression of Wisconsin?
nI was really hungry and hoped I could grab something to eat at the airport. But, of course, the bus drove way under the speed limit, leaving me no time for breakfast. In Wisconsin, they whisked me off to a few more places until 9 p.m. rolled around, and my mission president asked if I was hungry. I guess he didn’t notice the sunken cheeks, pale skin and thinning hair. He took me to an Italian restaurant where the chicken Alfredo left me hugging the toilet of my first mission apartment all night. I tried the same dish at the same restaurant the following week thinking there was no way I would get food poisoning again. Sure enough. I haven’t eaten Alfredo since.
