Is it good form for a returned missionary to call elected officials “jackasses” like you have?
nIt is very good form. And I think that one of the problems that we have in Utah politics is that not enough returned missionaries are doing that. … Utah voters need to realize that it’s inadequate just to elect a priesthood holder and then trust them to do the right thing. We’d love to trust everyone regardless. But the fact of the matter is when there’s power involved there has to be very real accountability. Not at the ballot box, though. That’s fake, because we’re all living in safe districts. That’s not real accountability.
