How would you describe yourself before and after the two-year haul?

I’m definitely more adventurous now. Before my mission, I was a very picky eater. I thought the Olive Garden was fancy and exotic. When I got there the menu was fried rice, three meals a day. Eventually I tried more daring dishes like fried scorpion, cow tongue, raw crab and, of course, vegetables'the most exotic of all. I also had to get used to no toilet paper and showering with a bucket. When I came home, I not only ate more interesting food, I also came out as gay. My mission gave me the personal conviction to get through anything.
