Making a return to Utah is the internationally acclaimed theatrical dance extravaganza Tap Dogs. Australian creator/ choreographer Dien Perry brought its debut to the Sydney Theatrical Festival in 1995, where it was an instant hit. Since moving the production to London that same year, he has received two Oliver Awards for his outstanding creativity.
Drawing from his past experiences working as an industrial worker, Perry created a score that uses a combination of elaborate tap dance routines, rock music and construction site-themed set designs that have dazzled audiences for over 10 years. With the help of his long-time partners, director/designer Nigel Traffitt and composer Andrew Wilkie, Tap Dogs has performed in 330 cities worldwide, selling more than 12 million seats. Its success was recognized early on, and within two years of its inception it garnered an Obie award as well a Drama Desk nomination for Best Choreography.
