What is the single most important thing you look for in a political candidate?

Stephen Dark: An abiding passion for the truth, bordering on the suicidal.

Kathy Mueller: Great hair!

Jennifer Higgins: 1. That they have no affiliation with any shady lobbyists or large corporations. 2. They fully support the Constitution. 3. And most importantly, I make sure they are not a Bush or a Clinton.

Susan Kruithof: If it’s a guy, his bum. I mean, look at Jon Huntsman Jr. … nice ass. But really, I’m a left-leaning social Democrat. So basically, it’s where they stand on issues that are important to me.

Jamie Gadette: Honesty, intelligence and the ability to enunciate. Everything else sort of works itself out.

Justin Healy: Whether the candidate just rushes into decision making seemingly without thought or whether he or she tries to be as informed as possible by both sides before making a decision.

Lindsay Larkin: Good looks and disposable income headed my way, of course. Oh yeah … ethics, morals and platform make a difference, too.

Bill Frost: The width of his/her stance.

Holly Mullen: In a national candidate, someone who first, will get us out of the war. And second, someone who will support a woman’s right to abortion. No compromises.

Faith Burnham: Someone who can handle a few self-deprecating jokes will always be a winner with me!

Nathan R. Levinson: Nice trousers. Damn podiums always block my priorities. Down with podiums!

Valeri Tronier: The least important thing is political experience. It is obvious that we need change in our political system. That change won’t happen if we continue to vote for the lifetime politico bozos who don’t have any interest in changing the way things are run currently. I’m voting for Mr. Obama solely because his Washington, D.C., stink isn’t as pungent as the rest.

Ted McDonough: Indictments.

Jeff Reese: I am going to have to go with honesty, but that one is hard to pick out since I don’t trust most politicians.

Derek Jones: The number of cats he/she owns with only three legs. Yes, Luke Garrott, you fit the bill.

Jennifer Van Grevenhof: An American flag pin on their lapel which signifies that they are a true American.
