I would want nothing less for myself if I had committed such a heinous act. people do make huge mistakes in life but when that mistake is taking the life of an innocent child and your natural reaction is to fight for a reduced sentence instead of taking a deserving punishment I have an extremely hard time believing there is any remorse. Personally I would stick my head between my legs with shame and ask God's forgiveness not for the parole board's mercy.
