The Sandbar is an intoxicating new edition to downtown Salt Lake City’s growing nightlife. Located in the Pierpont district, the club serves as a restaurant until 10 when the dance-floor tables are moved for a wide-open shimmy space. Sandbar’s drink selection is quite alluring. Try the blood-orange margarita for starters, then work your way to pomegranate. Margaritas are the perfect drink for this great interior with its pebble-and-footprint floor motif. Life’s a beach and then you die, so why not spend some of that time sidled up to a bar made of sand?
