A Royal Lunch
One of my favorite summertime lunch spots is Royal Street Café, located mid-mountain at Deer Valley Resort’s Silver Lake Lodge. It’s the perfect place to cool down with Deer Valley’s signature blueberry mojito and a delicious plate of chilled tuna tartare or the Dungeness crab tower. Royal Street Café is open for lunch through Labor Day from 11:30 a.m.-2:30 p.m. In addition, Deer Valley’s grocery-cafe in Deer Valley Plaza has extended its business hours to include dinner. The grocery-cafe is now open daily 7:30 a.m.-8:30 p.m., serving fresh-baked pastries, panini, chilies, stews, pizza, soups and much more, including wine, beer and liquor for consumption off-premises.

Bargain Bar Bites
Bambara
restaurant (202 S. Main) has announced that half-priced Bambara Bar Bites will be available for “Powers’ Hours,” from 3-5 p.m weekdays in The Vault, the club adjacent to Bambara.

Powers’ Hours—named for Bambara executive chef Nathan Powers—begin when the East Coast market closes, but you don’t have to be a financial worker to stop by for these discounted Bar Bites. The menu includes Morgan Valley lamb sliders with cucumber slaw and mint pesto for $5.50 ($1.50 extra with frites), crispy calamari with chipotle tartar sauce, cilantro and lime ($6) and Bambara’s signature house-cut blue-cheese potato chips for $4. For more information, visit Bambara-SLC.com.

More Boar
Midway’s Blue Boar Inn (1235 Warm Springs Drive, Midway) has opened its outdoor patio for dining to complement chef Eric May’s new summer menu. The Hinterhof—German for “patio behind”—is located in the rear of the inn, offering a garden, mountain views and an open-air dining experience. Included in May’s new summer menu are dishes such as pan-roasted halibut with carrot and hazelnut puree, braised pork-cheek risotto, tomato tarte tatin and poached jumbo shrimp with avocado and cocktail sauce “panna cotta.” For more information, visit TheBlueBoarInn.com.
