Rob Schneider’s career has been marked by an unrelenting desire—or, at least, lack of restraint—to shock and offend. Strange for a practicing Buddhist, but Schneider realizes that’s what people want and what makes comedians stand out. So, after a 17-year hiatus, 2010 marks Schneider’s return to stand-up. His goals to push boundaries and elicit belly laughs are nothing new for him.

The actor, known for his Saturday Night Live stint 16 years ago as well as a variety of roles in Adam Sandler films—including, most recently, Grown Ups—and leading roles in two Deuce Bigalow films, is branching into more sophisticated subject matter. Don’t count on seeing his old-school yet unforgettable characters, because he’s aiming to present all new material about current issues like America’s military-industrial complex. And, don’t expect a toned-down, censored Utah performance, either.
