Quantum of Ultra Solace
“Hoy se bebe,”—what could this mean? We’re told it’s a new feature night at Quantum UltraLounge (180 W. 400 South). Judging by Club Matters’ excellent grasp of foreign language, courtesy of Utah’s high school “education” programs, we’ve determined the language is Spanish. According to the required Google translation action we deployed on the phrase, hoy se bebe means “drink now,” and that command is heeded every Thursday at Quantum. Drink specials and DJs Frank and Vikingo will help you break the language barrier and enjoy the music.
December to Remember,
Or Forget
Tequila Tuesdays at the Green Pig (31 E. 400 South), remember those? Neither do we—tequila has a way of eating wormholes in your memory. It bears repeating that the event happens—get this—on Tuesdays, and features the finer pleasures of Mexico via $2 Coronas and $3 Cuervo 1800 Silver shots. “One tequila, two tequila, three tequila, green pig,” is how the saying goes now. DJ Birdman has been known to play this event as well; show up and see who’s spinning.

Video Hits: Getting Bogey’s On Your Tail
Sinrgy Go Gos, DJ JefferyB, LED light-gasms and live video mixing equal one helluva night in northern Utah’s Clearfield. There is fun north of Salt Lake City—you just have to find it on VFX’s Famous Fridays at Bogey’s Social Club (22 E. 200 South, Clearfield).
Cruzrs Saloon: Highland Highs
A Bar Named Sue’s less pretty stepsister sits right across Highland Drive at 3943 South. It’s one of our favorite dives south of Salt Lake City proper, and a destination for fans of their warm smoking barn and diverse clientele. Check it out when you’re in the neighborhood.
