Brazil-Meets-Chile Wine Tasting Benefit
On Wednesday, Oct. 2, from 6 to 8 p.m., Texas de Brazil (50 S. Main, 385-232-8070, TexasDeBrazil.com) in City Creek Center will host a special wine-tasting event featuring the Chilean wines of Santa Rita winery, along with a signature menu of appetizers. Local First Utah Celebration
Every autumn, Local First Utah hosts its annual fundraiser and gala Celebrate the Bounty. This year, it’s being held at Salt Lake City’s Union Pacific Depot (400 W. South Temple) on Thursday, Oct. 10, from 6 to 10 p.m. The event features food and drink from independent, locally owned restaurants, food artisans and purveyors from all around Utah. The list of participants is too lengthy to fully reproduce here, but includes Black Sheep Cafe, Communal, Caffe Molise, Pig & a Jelly Jar, Tin Angel Cafe, Hell’s Backbone Grill, Frida Bistro, Les Madeleines, Amour Spreads, Beehive Cheese, Five Wives Vodka, Castle Creek Winery, Vida Tequila, Squatters and many others. Tickets are $65 per person for food and beverages or $55 for food only. There’s also an option to purchase a $1,000 VIP sponsor table for eight.
