Quantum Ultralounge? Not Needed With ONE
It used to be called Quantum Ultralounge, but has since switched names and themes—welcome the ONE as the new hotspot in Salt Lake City. It’s right behind a sushi joint at 180 W. 400 South. Here’s the lineup of theme nights: Wednesdays are industry nights; Thursdays, it’s Partyrock with resident DJ Brisk; Fridays are Stereo Fridays; and on Saturdays, Tony Arzadon gives the wheels a turn for Spin.

Spring Has Sprung: Welcome Patio Season
“Check a calendar!” winter deniers say in defense of pretending it’s finally spring. We’ll play along; if we all act like it, maybe spring will warm us up sooner. Welcome to our Spring Patio Guide, where we introduce you to some of the best outdoor places to sip and tip in the sun:

Gracie’s, 326 S. West Temple: This place has a huge double-decker patio overlooking one of the classier street views in the city. Live music from The Daniel Day Trio doesn’t hurt, either.

Green Pig Pub, 31 E. 400 South: It’s the first year for the Pub’s patio and it is stunning. The newly renovated space offers an amazing view of a beautiful historic block.

Hog Wallow, 3200 E. Big Cottonwood Canyon Road: Though it’s one of the last bars on our list to thaw, the vistas are great and the rustic charm of this venue makes it a one-of-a-kind spot.

X-Wife’s Place: Still Fun
X-Wife’s (465 S. 700 East) is one of our favorite dives in the city. We like to go in every few months and make sure the place is still around. They’ve got killer Bloody Marys and plenty of tables for pool and sitting. Imagine that. Congratulations to this joint for still being one of the best neighborhood bars in the area.
