Rocky Mountain Power’s new high-voltage transmission line will run from Downey, Idaho, to an existing substation near the Salt Lake City International Airport.

Bannock and Oneida counties in Idaho should consider designating snowmobile trails from the Utah state line to Downey using the new dirt off-roads made when they put the transmission line up between Downey, over Malad Summit to the Utah state line. The trails would be around 40 miles.

Then, in the summertime, the new roads could be used by ATVers and UTVers.
