May I please offer some comments on your article “Wrestling Apostles” [Deep End, Nov. 19, City Weekly]? I should like to suggest that Elder Dallin Oaks has no business comparing gay attacks on Mormons to the 1960s Civil Rights Movement because these are two entirely different stories.
I should also like to say that, in this same article, you suggest that the LDS Quorum of Twelve is considering choosing a gay apostle. If they go that far, members might leave the church, and this would defeat what the church teaches.
