The official launch of the Music and Memory Utah campaign to bring iPod-based, personalized music to people living with Alzheimer’s, dementia and cognitive impairment takes place Tuesday, December 9 at 1:30 p.m. Composer Kurt Bestor will be performing for approximately 45 minutes for residents of the William E. Christoffersen Salt Lake Veterans Home. Mr. Bestor serves as a musical ambassador for the Utah Coalition, helping raise awareness for a drive to collect and refurbish unwanted iPods and solicit iTunes gift cards. These will be matched with precise song playlists that will be significant for veterans receiving memory-care at the Salt Lake VA Nursing Home.
