Ravenna is a culmination of all the witches I've ever admired. A witch
in her own right. She is the mischievous spirit of curiosity. A good
witch when in a good mood and a very bad witch when crossed. Ravenna is
an expression of the ultra feminine, an omage to all the women in my
life. She is a tribute to all the aspects of the feminine very much
missing from today's
patriarchal society. The underground art movements of Salt Lake city
needs to be nurtured and encouraged in any way possible. Drag is the
underbelly of all subculture and with it becoming more and more
mainstream I feel it is a platform for very real and positive change,
especially in this community.
