What is your most memorable Best of Utah moment?

Paula Saltas: When I found out that Best of Utah actually included places past 2100 South.

Kathy Mueller: When classifieds executive Lindsay Fenton cried over veggie lo mein. Yeah, Best of Utah can cause sudden and often unexpected office meltdowns.

Scott Renshaw: The moment every year for the past 14 years when Best of Utah is done.

Jerre Wroble: There are about 400 memorable moments in this very issue! I just drove by a hair salon we gave an award to a couple years ago; their banner is still up. I love to see the plaques on the walls. It says they stood out, they were seen, they did good.

Alyssa Dimick: The moment when all the sales reps realized we’d all lost our damned minds and only spoke to each other over a Facebook thread, even though the eight of us were all in the same room.

Susan Kruithof: In 2002, John Saltas hated the Best of Utah cover ideas coming out of the editorial department. I was stuck in the middle of John’s “What is this kindergarten BS?” and then-editor Chris Smart’s “Well, what’s his brilliant idea then?”

Eventually, John and I hashed out a rather brilliant cover idea while sitting at the bar of Port O’Call: Mitt Romney as Dudley Do-Right rescuing Squatters’ Provo Girl while she’s hogtied to railroad tracks. I walked away from the bar feeling ecstatic, until I realized I had no idea where to get a Canadian Mountie uniform or how I was going to hire the Provo Girl model. And would she really allow me to tie her up and put her on railroad tracks? Well, yes, she did.
