The “Christmas spirit” lingers long after Dec. 25. Cheer at having extra days off from work, belated presents arriving after Christmas Day and lights twinkling on rooftops through the end of January (if not longer) serve to extend the holiday season. Why not continue to celebrate for an extra couple of days with free ice skating at the Maverik Center?
The Adventure Wonderland oval encompasses dizzying glides, backdropped by Christmas music and a Christmas tree at center ice crafted by merrymakers Modern Display. Santa Claus will make an appearance from 6-8 p.m.; other guests include Utah Grizzlies mascot Grizzbee, the Grizzlies Ice Girls and Grizzlies players. Skate rentals are $5, with $1 donated to TeamGive, a Utah-based charity dedicated to raising awareness for children with neurological diseases.
So, let the holiday cheer live on!
