The problem is that the residents of that neighborhood have been given many many options and are not happy with any of them. Bob is correct. Trader Joes would be a waste in this neighborhood. I live in SSL and weekly take my grocery money out of the city to shop because there is nowhere suitable to shop within city boundaries. (Reams is a last minute resort for my family). SSL desperately needs the tax dollars a Walmart would bring to the city. Whenever I shop at the Salt Lake City Walmart I come across many, many people who live in my neighborhood. These people could be bringing tax dollars to our city. (As someone who works at our local school I happen to know many of the families in SSL). Also, remember that Mayor Wood didn't care about what the residents had to say when she gave away 2 city owned streets to a car dealership amid much public outcry!! She only wants this land and school so she can put her name on it!!
