Love & Love Lost Photo Competition

By Gavin Sheehan @TheGavinSheehanValentine’s Day is on the way, and what better opportunity for the artistic love-struck and the scorned to celebrate it than to display it?
The Hive Gallery will be holding a photography competition based around one of the two themes in the title. Express your affection for another or wallow in the despair of loss, all in a single shot of your choosing. The gallery itself will have supplies on hand—including makeup and props—to help you out, and provide an open area for other photographers to help each other.
Aside from having the photo adhere to the theme, the only other rules are that it must be in digital format (with metadata) and be created on the day of competition. The grand-prize winner will take away $100, with $50 for second place and two prize packages for third and people’s choice winners.
