Logan Peace Rally
Friday, March 19
Seven years and 4,700 U.S. armed services deaths later, Iraq is still a divided nation struggling to put itself back together. It’s also a rallying point for those who stress peace first when it comes to U.S. foreign policy. Join the peace movement for a solemn march in remembrance of the casualties in the Iraq conflict and get more involved in other peace-movement activities.
Logan Tabernacle, 50 N. Main, Logan, March 19, 5:30-7 p.m., LoganPeace.org
Honk & Wave for Peace
Saturday, March 20
The local peaceniks want to keep the noise up about the war. It doesn’t take much to get involved—pretty much just showing up at the honk and wave, ready to hold signs for peace. Come get your wave on to recognize the ongoing Afghan conflict and the legacy of the Iraq war.
Northwest corner of 700 East and 2100 South, 3:30-4:30 p.m., contact Diana at dianalee@xmission.com.
Salt Lake County Caucus Meetings
Tuesday, March 23
In a show of nonpartisan unity, Democrats and Republicans in Salt Lake County have consolidated their caucus meetings into easy-to-find mass meetings. Now there’s no excuse not to get involved in the process and achieve the dream of becoming a precinct delegate tasked with nominating convention candidates. Because, ultimately, only you can prevent the election of crappy candidates.
