Pachanga Night in Sugar House

I like to imagine that Latin pop star Pitbull’s ideal night at the club would involve neon-clad go-go dancers, Red Bull & vodka, dem-bow bass lines and lasers—lots of lasers. That being said, I think he would love Sundays at Karamba (1051 E. 2100 South). Every week, CJ Lara of JCL Promotions takes over this Sugar House spot and brings in celebrity-impersonating drag queens, live graffiti artists, dancing models and, of course, tons of glow sticks. A $7 cover gets you into this gay-friendly, Latin-infused fiesta appropriately dubbed Pachanga Night. Sorry, if you no habla español, pachanga essentially means to party your face off, and Karamba’s weekly party lives up to its definition.
