iPad Indian
Taste of India restaurant in Layton wasted no time in getting on-board with the Apple iPad. According to co-owner P.J. Singh, the very day iPads went on sale (April 3), Taste of India incorporated them into its ordering system. Diners can now order their menu items directly, using portable iPads, which saves time—and, frankly, is cool. Taste of India is located in Layton at 1664 N. Woodland Park Drive, 801-614-0107. Epic Lunches
Fans of Epic Casual Dining in Midvale will be happy to hear that Epic is now serving lunch. According to Epic’s Andrea Dulle, the lunch menu includes favorites like Dungeness crab cakes, house-made hummus, sautéed pork medallions, risotto and “Pop’s” Caesar salad, in addition to new menu items such as brick oven “pinwheels,” which are described as sort of a calzone cut into slices. There’s a club, veggie and Italian pinwheel. Epic Casual Dining is located in Midvale at 707 E. Fort Union Blvd., 801-748-1300. EpicCasualDining.com.
