Many people have photos they’d like to use to create their own portfolio of the great outdoors.
Sometimes, however, these photos are less than flattering, making Mother Nature look like she just woke up with a massive hangover. If this happens to you, an upcoming seminar can help you out. Westminster College is hosting a four-day seminar on photojournalism taught by nationally acclaimed photojournalist Jonathan Duncan.
For 15 years, Duncan has been exploring and documenting wild places, cultural traditions and environmental issues around the world.
Students will learn the basics of international and mountain photojournalism and receive an overview of the technical and cultural evolution of the art form. They’ll also consider the role of photojournalism in mass media today. The seminar costs $99, and students will need to bring their own digital camera.
