Hug a Soldier

Every day is Veterans Day to a veteran. The sales advertised across the nation for Veterans Day were prime examples of how grateful Americans really are. Veterans will continue to fight and die for our nation’s monetary interests, while our citizens will continue to see war for something that it is not.

As a three-tour Iraq war vet, with many friends still involved in two wars, I say give your veterans a loving hug whenever possible. Talk to them and ask them about their experiences in the war and perhaps you will develop a new perspective. Our veterans have more to offer than most care to acknowledge.

Whatever stance you hold, just remember that without our warriors, we are surely doomed.
