Remember those glamorous, mature single ladies in the ’80s sitcom Designing Women? I’m almost certain if they weren’t fictional characters, they would love weekends at Habits (832 E. 3900 South). Habits is one of the few classy clubs in the valley with a nice mix in the age spectrum. This is partially due to DJ Scotty B, who spins Top 40 and nonstop video mixing every weekend. At one point in the night, he blended House of Pain’s “Jump Around” with a techno track, and then bridged the age gap with a perfectly timed fog blast. At the end of the month, Habits will be hosting two Halloween parties, Oct. 26 & 27, with $1,000 going to the best costumes—no one had better dress up as The Crow.
