Gracie’s is the last private club in Utah, having snapped up one of the last such licenses before the state eliminates the membership requirement July 1. The spacious downtown establishment owes its name to no one in particular—owner Deno Dakis (ex-Port O’Call) just thought the name sounded cool. Gracie’s is already making a splash and no wonder—its sports-bar vibe, huge two-level patio for smoking and game room featuring shuffleboard, pool and darts make it a great addition to Salt Lake City’s nightlife.
