Steven, here's some light reading on the subject.

Re: “The Pipeline: Going Back In Time With MST3K

Hey Johnny. Hindsight is 20/20, what I'm saying is in the grand MST3K library that Rhino had access to at the time, picking those four for Volume II felt lacking. They had Mitchell, Manos and Space Mutiny that they could have broken out of the gate with, but didn't until much later. No fault on Shout! or the show, just not killer choices by Rhino years ago.

Re: “KSL's New Strategy: If You Can't Beat 'Em, Buy 'Em!

Absolutely, I'm down for that. And if you look back at the top, I did mention that you beat them two sweeps periods in a row, and by the looks of the ratings sheets, you're winning round 3. But to be perfectly fair to all involved, the piece isn't about ratings, it's about what's been happening in response to ratings. Being #1 does not automatically mean every single employee is happy, nor does it mean your main competition wouldn't make it worth their wild to jump ship. But I'm happy to discuss it all on every front with you. ...We'll chat more soon.

From what I could tell, they were happy to have them.

Dee... I asked them those questions, and they responded. That's how this works. But be honest, you would have commented anyway if they said "No comment". Thanks for reading!!!

Re: “In The Loop: 9/11/10. Summer Ending & Screw Neon Trees

Hey Kaneischa, I'm not trying to cut this short, I'm just phrasing things down as I'm sure the commentary will get much longer than where it is now. Tyler mailed me and I've mailed back and we'll see how the discussion goes from there. But to sum it up, yes, you're absolutely right about their accomplishments. They've made great strides for Utah music in their own right. But specifically for this entry it was him responding to my comments, and my response to his was already long enough without listing all the positives beyond saying they earned their place. Which is a whole other topic I could expound on, but that's for another day. I do appreciate the input and agree with you on most of what you said, but at the same time there's two sides to every story, which is something he and I will probably discuss. ...And as a small P.S., I've seen your website, kudos to you and the stuff you do to promote Provo in your own right.

    Re: “Salty Peaks

Well "Editor", I'd think after 2 1/2 years of existence, you'd catch on that almost every post is an interview, where everything they say is what gets printed. Unless you have some sort of memory loss, I don't know why you're so shocked that it was long to begin with. But apparently you read the whole thing and survived long enough to bitch and moan about it in print, so it couldn't have been as painful as you described. I think you'll live. And Mamba, you of all people know that anytime anyone from any publication visits any store for any kind of story, its a publicity ad. Unless they're going out of business. Even if its a totally free art project that would only cost you thirty seconds of your time to look at it, its an ad. For someone who I know for a fact has read nearly every entry I've done on here, I find it entertaining that only NOW do you want to complain. Thanks for the added hits guys!
