Salt Lake City Gallery Strolls have always been a time to discover wonderful treasures. This time around, the event is taking the idea a bit more literally.

In conjunction with the Downtown Alliance’s new three-day EVE festivities, visiting Salt Lake City art galleries is turning into a game with a potentially terrific payoff: Six venues—Hope Gallery, Kayo Gallery, Michael Berry Gallery, Salt Lake Art Center, Utah Artists Hands and Beans & Brews—will each be housing one piece of a puzzle. Visit the galleries and enter for a chance to win a free work of art. After a year like this one, why not start 2010 feeling like a winner—and a cultured one, at that?

EVE Gallery Stroll Treasure Hunt @ Hope Gallery, 151 S. Main; Kayo Gallery, 177 E. 300 South; Michael Berry Gallery, 163 E. 300 South; Salt Lake Art Center, 20 S. West Temple; Utah Artists Hands, 61 W. 100 South; Beans & Brews, 268 S. State; Tuesday, Dec. 29, 4–8 p.m.
