That's the sad thing. Most of the hardworking fireman on the street have no idea what their admin has been up to. I think the fact that someone is FINALLY looking into their electronic justifications is hilarious. They always always cried public need to having the latest and greatest. The trip info is just going to get better and better. Because the surface has barely been scratched. Integrity is supposed to be everything for these positions. Three of the top brass were perfectly fine cheating on their wives, one of which is now hooked up with the head of HR, and he will be the interim chief ? WTF. Great fireman or not Watkins probably should at least quit acting like everyone is stupid.
Here's another kicker. Jensen and Scott were never in firefighting to be firefighters in the first place. Anyone that knows them well knows that they schooled and climbed and stepped on people to get exactly where they wanted. They aimed for admin and they got it. Good for their dream. Too bad for greed and power. Although they built a great agency they OBVIOUSLY DIDNT CARE enough about their fireman to protect it. But don't confuse these two with real firefighters. They only played fireman for the glory of the name to get where they wanted to be.

And no question UFA is an amazing organization.
Thanks to the success that the chief had a huge part in. Does that honestly In your mind make it okay to abuse the funds ? And does that mean that this command staff needs to answer to no one for accountability of time? For the trips camouflaged as conference necessities ?
This is not rumor. This is not headhunting. It's called transparency which is something that has been , up til now fiction. It's called "oh oh the we are not untouchable"
This IS sad. It's called GREED

I have had many inside views of these trips called conferences and training etc. and I know how some of them come about I know how thier time is really spent. Do they work hard ? Are they intelligent? Of course. But the public that THEY ARE EMPLOYED BY AND PAID would be very surprised at the typical day or month for these guys. They shouldn't be nit picked / but they are to blame for this fallout. Why couldn't they have just not abused the freedom and funds ?
They are to blame for letting the freedom power and money go their heads and bank accounts.

This forum has been a long time coming.
Not one person on this board created the issues here other than the the ones being held or in some cases, not held, accountable.
Too bad that the UFA.,, That I am a part of. .. Could not count 100% on the integrity of their own administration. In the end - we will suffer and so will the public.

Didn't even get started on the legacy hires. Every single , EVERY SINGLE CHIEF in command staff is in on that game. They trade off who they are helping with each other , rigging scores and then points during interviews. Rumor has it there is actually a recording of three of them taking about who they will score higher during oral interviews. And the HR lady is right smack in the middle of it. Arianne's integrity went south as soon as her not so private relationship with Chief Watkins was less of a private thing. Not a big surprise for most. I am sure she didn't turn a blind eye though to the dozens and dozens of sons , brothers and other relatives over populating these boot camps full of relatives. ( I mean boots, aka new hires). Blow that story up. The numbers that test vs the number of relatives hired.
Chief Jensen is a demeaning little son of a bitch that should be held accountable and hey show some more attitude at the way you are finally being called out. That should help. Maybe if you get up on that box you stand on for pictures you will be a little more believable when the justifications are pouring from your lying little mouth.

People have no ideas what the command staff takes advantage of. And yes most of the department knows. Tip of the iceberg is an UNDERSTATEMENT Please keep digging and here are clues not rumors. Facts my friend. I am a firsthand witness of the abuse of funds. Sadly , it has been astounding to see what they so arrogantly are stealing. Yes. Stealing.
Need vehicles at all hours so they are available for calls? Run the statistics. Get the facts. When you see that this command staff that has to drive everywhere,,,, rarely if ever - respond to anything after their shift. Hate to tell the public but they rarely do during a shift.

Make no mistake. They drive their custom picked SUVs everywhere. No standard issue here either like every other state department. They have found a way to get everything they want and will come up with great reasons why it's necessary.
You wouldn't believe what is spent on electronics alone. All of the department knows they get the latest and greatest of everything the second it is released. Not to mention they get to keep not redistribute the last model / version. This has been a joke at the stations for years.
Conferences ?
Oh ho ho if you dig even slightly you will uncover the second biggest scam in that administration. They pick and choose what "conferences " they go to based on the baseball stadium and local golf course. Don't confuse what a conference is. These are not state training this and that's. These are commercial conferences just like marketing conventions that all sorts of vendors and areas put on. Our command staff show up booked in four star + hotels one Chief per room. They rarely attend more than a brief breakout session ( to log ) per day then they are out and about having their mini vacay. And oh yes they are not only on their salary during these trips but some have been known to count all the extra hours to justify how little they are in the office at any other given time. This has been going on since the boys club took command Over ten years. 90 % of the time they take family because it's an easy way to travel /site see , vacation with the state or FEMA picking up the tab for airfare and hotels. They may pay their family's airfare but there you go again. These guys are racking up great perks with sky miles that go to family not other employees/ traveling to save some tax money. They love to boast this then him haw around it if any of us pee ons downwind question the validity of it all.
And the relatives hooting the "80%" of all fireman have second jobs. Well yes that's true. Most fireman on SHIFT WORK who are trying to make ends meet have a second job or career. But they have several days off in between go arounds.
Command staff are "9-5" mon thru Friday. And it is well known they are out doing whatever they want and when they want. They appear at a meeting work their budgets and have no one to answer to. The staff that dare question their expenses are handled in such an arrogant "how dare you question me " manner that many of them flat out will not rock the boat. Accountability here is avoided because they can claim they are out in the field. Right. They are home getting to spend the time running kids around , working from home , attending school functions with their kids ( wouldn't we all like to have this salary with such great perks ) and playing. Yes playing. Rarely if ever really spending more than three or four hours in their office that the state paid ridiculous amounts to furnish. Let's not forget they also have to have a mini fridge in almost all the Chiefs offices stalked with their hearts desire. All within a two minute walk of a regular fridge.
Sounds minimal but it goes on and on.
And Judkins - is not only having a great career in real estate. It is WELL KNOWN that he is your go to guy if you would like to purchase a little something on the side ( steroids , human growth hormone )
You should feel no sympathy when any of these "heros" are deployed out of state , for other emergencies. Ever ! They are paid THOUSANDS AND THOUSANDS of dollars on top of their salaries to assist with wildfires , and floods , natural disasters. And this command staff makes sure they are not left out of this cash cow either.
Poke around. Then go ask yourself this - doesn't anyone find it odd that this story is not blowing up all over the other news networks ? Too many people covering here folks. The Tribune ? KSL , KUTV? Fox13? They all want the department in their pocket so they can get the gory details or first word on the next big car accident or fire.

Retaliation follows your entire career at UFA I have watched it and listened to it in action.
No one in their right mind would put a name on here unless you are singing praise.
The new hire legacy hire scam is well known. No matter how qualified his kid is the fact is they help each other get thier kids on when there are hundreds that are shooting for the positions equally qualified. Does that mean their kid shouldn't get a shot? No but if you are a relative of someone who acts like their shit doesn't stink maybe try twice as hard not to look like yours doesn't either.
