Tooth Decay
I think it's curious that Gov. Spencer Cox is supposedly for strong family values, but against children having strong teeth. Research going back to the 1950s shows fluoride in the water system helps prevent tooth decay—especially for children.
Why in any deities' name would Cox wish to put a stop to the fluoridation of the state's water? Does he get his public health advice from current Secretary of Health Robert F. Kennedy Jr.? Or has Cox purchased stock in the dental industry?
There is no way this decision makes any sense. It's one thing for the governor to be a big Donald Trump fan—but to become as stupid as Trump is not a good look.

Due Diligence
DOGE, our Department of Government Efficiency,
A laudatory endeavor for our Democracy.
To improve proficiency and reduce expenses,
And for our nation earns rewarding consequences.
But financial scrutiny requires "due diligence",
To avoid our society any hindrance.
For politicization distorts the financial goal,
Razing our institutions' humanitarian role.
Now for one citizen's pecuniary advice,
DOGE should audit our nation's Congressional vice.
Our Representatives' and Senators' long vacations,
High salaries, benefits and "perk" appropriations.
A "calling" for Public Service a spiritual creed,
Not for any civil servant a pathway to self-greed.

Heartwarming homage to a friend. The empty space left behind can only be endured by reflecting on fond memories such as this. Thanks for sharing, John Saltas.
