Eateries on the Move
Can’t seem to find Este Pizzeria (801-485-3699, EstePizzaCo.com) on Windsor Street in Sugar House? Well, it moved, to a new spot at 2148 S. 900 East. Este specializes in the best NYC-style pizza around, but also serves great calzones, strombolis, hoagies, garlic knots and more, including vegan and gluten-free options.
Meanwhile, Johnniebeefs has relocated from Union Park Avenue in Midvale to The Park Centre in Cottonwood Heights, at 6913 S. 1300 East (801-352-0372). Johnniebeefs features classic Chicago dogs, as well as options like the veggie dog, Wisconsin cheese dog, Utah dog, Polish dog and—my favorite—the Fire dog. Visit Johnniebeefs.com for more information.

Jasoh! Becomes Hearth
Ogden’s Jasoh! Prime & Pub restaurant is celebrating its 10th anniversary by morphing into a new “brand” (same chef and owners) called Hearth on 25th (195 25th St., 801-399-0088), featuring a restaurant, lounge and food pantry. The biggest change, aside from the name, is the opening of a new speakeasy-style watering hole called the 32B Lounge. It plays on the nearly impossible-to-penetrate (for me, anyway) Utah Alcohol Beverage Control Act, Title 32B. Hearth will feature wood-oven-cooked foods, along with housemade pastas, breads, local meats and more. The pantry offers imported and infused olive oils, balsamic vinegars, pastas, sauces and other gourmet goodies. Visit Hearth25.com for reservations and information.

Oasis Comfort Food
Through the end of November, Oasis Cafe (151 S. 500 East, 801-322-0404) is offering a three-course “cold weather comfort food menu” for a flat $25 per person, with dishes highlighting the last of the fall harvest. Chef de cuisine Efren Benitez’s comfort-food offerings include pan-roasted scallops over root vegetables, and filet mignon atop Yukon Gold mashed potatoes. For more information, visit OasisCafeSLC.com.
