Re: “Veto Protocol

There was no doubt in my mind Reagan was suffering from early stages of dementia. I lived through it with my father. Reagan showed obvious signs of it before the second election. I told people to vote for Reagan's aides if they thought the aides could handle the Job, but the Reagan that won the first election no longer existed.

Re: “Costly Care

Great Article. Scott Simmons wrote a response to this article on facebook that shows why the US is becoming a 3rd World Country. Facts and Data matter nothing to him. He spouts off and is assured his first reaction before understanding the issue must be correct. Today it is the fashionable way of answering tough questions. I would think, but am open to evidence, is the Major reason health care costs are so high is that there is no incentive for them not to be. Pharmaceutical Lobbyists bought off the Utah Washington Delegation and now our Drug Prices are the highest in the world. The US government is the ONLY organization in the world that is stupid enough to purchase 45% of someones output and not demand a discount. The Idiots in Washington passed a bill that said the government will buy at full price. Can you image Walmart going to someone and say "We are buying 45% of everything you make: Charge us any amount that is fine" The Pharmaceutical industry is like the Mafia in Chicago around the time of Capone. Like the mafia might say: "You have a fine little business there, it would a shame to lose it." The Pharmaceutical like wise can say "Pay up or die" And our delegation, not only says that is fine but one member gave a Pharmaceutical company $800,000,000 dollars they lost in a lawsuit when they were convicted of a Felony. He did this during the last government shutdown, that not only cost 3 Billion dollars to the US taxpayer, but lots of things like this were heaped upon us. Likewise, providers and others in the Healthcare industry are not looking to build a better healthcare system, rather they are building bigger profits.
