Spin The Bottle: Games At W
Spinning the bottle may seem like a high school pleasure but it is very much back and ready for pleasure-giving. One of Salt Lake City’s sweatiest, sexiest spots is W Lounge (358 S. West Temple), and they’re following up last week’s closing Spin the Bottle set from Dolph with another great night with a packed room and reverberating beats this Friday, March 11, when ladies get in free and doors open at 9 p.m. This week features resident DJs Bentley and Flash n Flare spinning electro, house, indie and hip-hop.
Bar X: Xceling
A solid metal door marks the entry, and once past it, the world of the new Bar-X (155 E. 200 South) opens up. We do try to stay on top of clubs but hadn’t ventured to the recently re-opened Bar-X yet, waiting for the hype to die down to see if they still had the magic after a huge grand opening. And yes, it’s worth the hype and the money. The much-ballyhooed $9 cocktail prices were booed by those who don’t know what a tasty drink is, and that beer is not best served in cans (but they have those, too, from Olympia to PBR). Our current fave? The Pimm’s Cup, a ginger beer with fresh ginger, juice and plenty of top-shelf liquor.
Hot shots from Bar-X
