Dining | Food Matters: El Pollo Loco, Tiburon Grill, Ruth’s Chris & Fratelli Ristorante
If you prefer your Mexican food a little les franchise-y, check out the newly opened Tiburon Grill. The owner is Diego Lopez, who from 1994-1998 ran one of my all-time favorite Salt Lake City Mexican eateries, Cenaduria Mexico. The Tiburon Grill is located at 919 S. State, conveniently located right next to The Republican.
Eighty-nine dollars for dinner for two might not seem like much of a bargain. But at Ruth’s Chris Steak House prices, it is. For $89, Ruth’s Chris’ Summer Celebration for Two gets you and someone special a three-course meal beginning with soup or a salad, an entrée choice from a selection of five, including chicken, fresh fish and Ruth’s Chris signature beef filet, along with a house-made dessert. Fratelli Ristorante in Sandy has introduced a new spring/summer menu, which includes grilled yellow fin tuna and citrus pesto, heirloom tomato panzanella and house-made ricotta and Romano cheese-stuffed ravioli with pomodoro sauce.
