The last time David Sedaris was in town, he stood on the balcony of Sam Weller’s Bookstore downtown and told blushingly filthy and disturbing jokes to the eager amusement of his collected fan base.
The story goes that, to spice things up on a recent book tour for his newest collection of short stories, Squirrel Seeks Chipmunk: A Modest Bestiary, Sedaris asked attendees to pass along their favorite jokes. As is often the case, as he traveled from town to town passing through the venerable heart of America, things turned dirtier and uglier than he could have ever imagined—to his sheer delight, of course.
This time around, the best-selling author (Holidays On Ice, Me Talk Pretty One Day, When You Are Engulfed in Flames) and celebrated humorist will bring his sardonic wit to the big stage for a reading and Q&A where he will charm the pants off of everyone in earshot—while inevitably offending someone, somewhere, somehow.
